Review by Lynn Loper I'm not real big on the usage of sentence fragments to express strong emotions, and it's something that BA Tortuga does in almost every paragraph. Between that, and the fact that the author has a pretty standard style (sketchy introduction of characters, fuck fuck fuck, one more sketchy character scene, the end), his/her work isn't my favorite. But in Cut Bait, there are a couple of scenes involving a bumpy purple dildo that made me laugh out loud. The characters aren't unbelievable (although I asked my husband how he'd feel if his sister sold sex toys as a money-maker and brought them to us to sample, and he nearly fainted). I can't be really enthusiastic about it; there isn't much there for me. But if you want a story that gets right down to business without being gross about it, you'll like this one. Don't miss the purple dildo. It's a hoot.
