Miscellanea and Ephemeron [Previous entry: "Novel review: Me, Myself & Him"] [Main Index] [Next entry: "Novel review: Adam the King"] 08/26/2008 Archived Entry: "Book review: Migration Patterns"
Review by Lynn Loper I don't often read short story collections, and I'm so glad I read this one. 'Migration Patterns' is a group of stories with interconnections, not so strong that you lose track of the individual stories, but strong enough that the stories wouldn't be as good without them. They range from the West, a place I don't know enough about, to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Watermen, ranchers, criminals, hippies, loners, all sorts of people, their lives, their thoughts, and their dreams. I couldn't put it down. I read it in one day - ate it, really - and I'm going to read it again tomorrow. I can't even decide which one was the best; I liked them all for different reasons. Read this book!
