Review by Kris

In my previous review of Kiss All the Boys vol. 2 I said that we would probably be in for an explosive climax. And boy was I right! Plus, be sure to catch my review of Kiss All the Boys vol. 1 for a more detailed look at this amazing series.

For a quick recap:

Tetsuo Atarashi is a 32-year-old, straight, porn comic writer with a 15-year-old gay son. Haruka Enomoto is living with Tetsuo because his mom is in Europe. Haruka is in love with his best friend Hiroto Tamaki. Tetsuo's best friend, editor, and Haruka's uncle, Michiro Enomoto, is in love with Tetsuo. Keiichi Momoyama is one of Tetuso's neighbors and also has a thing for Tetsuo. He was also Tetsuo's first sexual encounter with a man. Tetsuo is a jerk supreme, but things seem to be spiraling out of control for him. Not only has Michiro quit as his editor, but there is also a new addition to the Atarashi household. Tamaki has run away from home and is now staying with Tetsuo and Haruka.

Tetsuo has pretty much come to the realization that women don't do it for him anymore. Not only that but it seems that his impotence has been cured (insert Hallelujah Chorus by Handel here). The one who can cause little Tetsuo to come to life is none other than the love of his son's life, Hiroto Tamaki. Tetsuo can't seem to get Tamaki off his mind and uses the star of his wet dreams to help relieve himself. Tamaki walks in on Tetsuo pleasuring himself while shouting out Tamaki's name. It seems that Tamaki feels the same way about Tetsuo. While Tetsuo and Tamaki are in the middle of some questionable actions, Haruka walks in on them. GASP! I don't want to spoil any more of the story, so the synopsis ends here!

Shiuko Kano-sama never ceases to amaze me! She has created a funny yet touching series with Kiss All the Boys. Thank you to Deux Press for bringing us this great series. Not only is it about the sexual encounters of men, but I feel that it's also an amazing story of a father and son getting to know and love one another. There aren't enough stories out there that create this kind of emotional punch. You'll laugh, cry, get angry, laugh some more, and fall in love with this story. I guarantee it! There is also a short one-shot at the end called Summertime Accomplices. This must be one of Kano-sama's earlier works. It shares a similarity to the work of her older sister, Kazuna Uchida (author of I Shall Never Return, also published by Deux Press and reviewed by me). It's not bad, but her later works are so much more aesthetically pleasing.

I cannot say enough good things about Kiss All the Boys as a series as a whole. It is really an amazing piece of work. Deux Press has not disappointed yet. With the amount of Kano-sama's works that they have licensed and published they have become one of the top yaoi publishers out there and have earned my heartfelt respect and thanks.

If you enjoy yaoi, this is a series that you must absolutely read. I know that I'm glad I read it and so will you!
