Did I misunderstand? I kept thinking as I read through Windbrothers. When I read the blurb for a Torquere novel, and it promises a slave, an unwilling master, and a relationship, I have certain...expectations.

I kept reading, but there was no sex. If this doesn't bother you, I recommend Windbrothers. Sean Michael has built a nice world here. Different countries, with different customs; natives of the countries, whose personalities seem to have been built by the customs, different foods. I always like a nice cosmology, and Windbrothers has one. The only thing that rings a little false to me is that one of the heroes is a healer, using psychic powers; that's awfully convenient.
